Let's Clear Some Stuff Up
Your website can be done quickly if you need it, or slowly if you want to take your time coming up with the content. Don't worry, we help you along the way with ideas of what to include and can be pretty handy with finding stuff ourselves. Generally we need around two weeks if you are quick with providing your content. We suggest that you book us in around a month before your save the dates go out if possible, that way we can make sure your website is themed appropriately and is live and ready for your guests. You'll be able to put your unique web address on your invites as well!
We will help you every step of the way and will give you questionnaires to fill out. You can type or write them (as long as we can read your hand writing!) and we will put it in the right places on your website. Different couples will want different types of information available online and we cater to whatever you need. We are helping you tell your special story.
Some standard inclusions we will need your help with include;
- The story of how you met.
- A gallery of some description, be it engagement photos or just photos from your time together as a couple. These can be resized and watermarked for you if needed.
- A bio and pictures of your Maid of Honour and Best Man, and if you choose, your wedding party too.
- Logistical information (ceremony and reception details, times, cash bar or fully catered, dress code etc).
- Accommodation and transport information.
- Anything else you want on your wedding website!
This is not a set and forget service. If anything changes we will be right here ready to change it - just an email or SMS away. The whole point of offering wedding websites is to take away a stress leading up to the wedding, not cause one. We will even be ready to upload your wedding photos after your special day if you want them online for your guests to see and to make sharing that bit easier.
Our pricing is all inclusive for 12 months from the date of purchasing your domain name. We handle buying your domain name, setting up the hosting, and basically all of the fiddly bits that are a part and parcel of setting up a website.
After the initial 12 months you have the option to maintain the hosting and the domain name. Like any website these are ongoing expenses. Alternatively you can simply put your website to rest and have it as a nice memory that helped your wedding run smoothly and made your friends jealous!
Sometimes in the lead up to the wedding there are events that not everyone is going to be invited to. This is completely fine however we don't want to rub it in anyone's face unneccessarily. A website is live to anyone who cares to look, after all.
Because of this need, be it for organising hen's or buck's nights, we can create private password accessible pages on your wedding website. This way you will be able to share information to the specific guests that it's intended for without hurting anyone else's feelings. Win win!
